Let us know where you have the most issues and we will try to write a column about it!

In all of the issues the one variable I haven't been able to put a number on yet is how far back can the weight go before a "death rattle" sets in.
As most of the races are so close moving the weight back for that extra P.E. is good but how much is too much? And what are the variables in the "death rattle" equation?

in my Inferno car I have the CG .675" in front of the rear axle. I've found no stability problem. This month for WIRL I've moved it back another .15" to .523". These are calculated using my CG location formulas. Sssnake

I find that very interesting. From what I had heard about the long tracks you needed to keep the weight at least 1" in front of rear axel.

That's very true! I have seen cars be behind a car length 20 feet down the track and win by as much. However that was on a 48' Track, Middle weight works well on tracks with a consistant slope too (not one that drops hard and then goes strait.
