Are there any boards or catagories that we need here that are missing? Let us know what you would want to see or what is on your mind and we can add it! I had an email that some people may just want to talk about life in general and get a little off topic from time to time. so we added "Anything goes" feel free to make suggestions, we want to taylor this to our members!

Maybe a section like pinewood for dummies. Have a section that clearly and easily takes someone step by step to achieve a certain tip with simple tools.
If the task includes a drill press or lathe or any special tool don't bother posting the techinique. Derby talk is great but some of the explanations get to wordy for the average joe.
Also, if the tip includes a hard to find item, mention it in the tip where the item can be purchased. (example like a certain type of polish or sand paper)
John.

I think that might be a great idea! Perhaps using a lot of Derby Worx's Pro Tools tools, they are cheap and act asd a private machine shop! we will have to see, I am not sure I will have the time.

Anyone willing to help with a "Pinewood for Dummies" Section on the boards? I was thinking of having a section where people talk about making a car had to toe, how they do them, what sucess cetain things bring, maybe a picture or two to help people who may not be WIRL competitors or those who want to ompete but don't know how just yet. Let me know!

it's that time of year again where we try to find out what is missing on the PERFORMANCE BOARDS. What can we add to create good conversation on the Pinewood Topic? What we want is a bunch of active guys who are looking for ways to be competitive while teaching their kids a lesson and learning a lot themselves. What can I do to help us acheive that? I need your opinions so go ahead and post them, send me a private message or an emails and let's enjoys the boards for the 2005 season, let's make them helpful and informative and a laymans level!

I think getting the newsletter postings would be a good idea like you had started to do before. This cutscout year has just started and people will start getting ready for Pinewood Derby in a couple of months.
