I have learned the condition of the track is very poor. It’s a 3 lane wood track and the cars tend to bounce around. Some lanes are worse than others. The each scout has three runs – one run on each lane. Then their average time is then used. This is the packs attempt to be fair.
I have followed much of your advice and modified the car, axels and wheels. I am now concerned the modification may not last. I purchased the ultra light wheels and have moved much of the weight to the rear. On an ideal track this car will fly but on this track I’m not sure. Should I make adjustments to compensate for the poor conditions? Are the ultra light wheels too light? (1oz.) Will they break down? Will a hollowed out car vibrate too much on such a poor track? Wisdom wanted !!
Thanks. Derby Dad

derbydad, run 1 oz. weight or more on front, run on 1 front wheel with 1 in. steer per 3 ft.
