Does anybody have any experience with this paint? It is an enamel, which I know is more tricky to work with than lacquers. The Duplicolor website does say that an enamel can be laid down over a lacquer topcoat, which is what we are looking to do.
I was really wondering if it really looked like chrome like on the cap, or if it just turns out silver.
Thanks.

I've never had good luck 'mixing' types of paint. Always lifted or wrinkled for me........
Have you tried metal foil tape??? A friend of mine uses it for stripes, accents & grilles. I think he gets it at ACE.

I haven't used it either but I also have had trouble mixing different types of paints, wrinkling and such. I would call the manufacturer and ask them the technical stuff for their product. Barry

I don't have any experience with it yet but according to their web site www.alsacorp.com you can spray it over any smooth surface. Dries immediately and can polish with a cloth immed. Look at the videos, they are amazing. Builder Jim can tell you more about this stuff. But it looks great.

I have used this product. You will want to spray down a black base coat before your chrome otherwise it will not "Shine." Think of it like a mirror.

Bob Barga painted a car chrome. It came out good. Look in the race results pictures on WIRLs web-site, Jan. 2006 results.

I was reading that if you clear coat over the chrome, it actually dulls the paint. This board said to do black base coat, then clear, then chrome. Does this fit with any of your experience? Thanks much. My kids and I are going to try a black car with chrome flames for the January Pure Stock race.
Thanks,
Jim
