The Derby Worx Pro Hub Shaver
This tool allows the builder to correct flaws in the outer wheel hub, making it parallel to the inner hub and improve tracking of the car. The Pro Hub Shaver is an attachment that can easily be added to the Pro Hub Tool.
A. The outer hub under the axle head on most wheels is an area, which there has been no good way to correct or polish, the Pro Hub Shaver will allow the builder to remove any high spots in this area that will allow the wheel to not kick when it makes contact with the axle head which in turn will help keep the car tracking straighter. B. By truing the outer hub, this will allow the builder to accurately mount the wheel in reverse on the Pro Mandrel and get accurate results like using the Pro Hub Tool. This way the builder can perform any wheel performance tasks they prefer.

Is this legal in stock division? We are trying to write some rules for our Royal Ranger race and want to know the specifics. Thanks.

I believe that this tool should be legal everywhere. It dose not re-shape or modify the outer hub, it straightens it and corrects any manufacturing defects in the outter hub, like it should be to start with. Think of it as another step in creating perfect/defect free wheels.

You can sharpen the blade a little more for a close shave. ;D
There is a 5 deg. back angle on the blade with the low side being the flat side. If you dress it up with a file or sharpening stone, you can get a real nice cut, but be careful, you can get a little agressive when it gets sharp.

The tool will cut in either direction with a little pressure. You can make it cut more by dressing it a little with a file of a honing stone. The proto's cut like crazy and one of the feed backs we got was it was "TOO" sharp so we dulled it up a little and leave it up to you if you want a little more.

"The new pro-shaver is a definite must-have. The precision is totally in your hands. This is a truly fine shaver. The updated design doesn't require you to loosen up the frame and re-tighten the frame every time you have to make a blade adjustment. That saves a whole lot of time. Did I mention the new screw action was smooth? There is no binding or straining to adjust the blade depth. The new spring keeps the blade and adjustment screw in perfect harmony. The only major adjustment needed is to initially insert the pro-hub tool for truing the wheel edge and then readjust the pro-hub tool again to shave down the wheel face. The newly updated pro-shaver is a well thought out tool. The accidentally boogered up wheel is a thing of the past due to all the new updates. Many kudos to Derby-Worx on a great product!"
