I need some guidence guys. I got Lime Scallion back from WIRL and after looking at the videos and putting it on my alignment board I discovered that the car was tracking towards the raised wheel(very bad). SO I adjusted the alignment so that the car would track to the rail on the DFW and I picked up about a .10 of a second. But one thing I noticed on my track is the noise the wheels are making. They don't make alot of noise(anymore than any other car that runs the same kinda wheels) going down the track but it's when the car rolls in reverse. You see I don't have fancy stop system like WIRL but have a sofa cushion at the end of the track so when the cars contact the cushion they bounce off and roll back up the track. My other cars will roll almost 3/4 of the way back up the track while Lime Scallion will only roll 1/4 way back up the track and the wheels make a horrible noise. Almost a squelling-grinding noise. So, I put the car on the table and pushed rear wheels into the body and rolled forward. Wheels stayed into body. Rolled car backwards and the wheels go to the axle heads. Pulled wheels out to the axle heads rolled forward wheels go to the body. Rolled backwards with wheels pulled out and wheels stay out. So I figured I had a toe in problem. I bent rear axles and adjusted until wheels stayed out rolling forward and backwards put back on the track and the noise goes away but the car is SLOWER. I know the wheels shouldn't make this noise (friction) but I don't understand why the car gets slower when it still tracks straight and friction noise goes away. I am running Derbyworx ultralite wheels(1 gram bsa) with grooved axles. Even tried another set of wheels and axles and the same thing. What am I doing wrong?
