Greetings everyone!
I was having a terrible time coming up with the name for my new pure stock this week until the paint job on it went south. I painted it and the new modified with the same process, same location, same number of coats, same time, everything. The modified comes out slick and the pure stock becomes a field of bubbles within 15 minutes. I let it dry, sanded, then tried again but brought the car inside immediately after painting and again, the bubbles. So, the new name became "Bubblicious". Stupid but it fits. I live in Houston and believe that 90% humidity and 98 degree temps make it worse, but I won't even pretend to know much about painting. The paint job on the red car came out pretty good except for one fingerprint and some handling marks. Anyone have any ideas as to what causes the bubbling?

Darryl,
Can you post pics of the bad paint. May be able to help if I can see it.

What type of paint did you use? Was it the basecoat that bubbled, or the clear coat? Also, if it was a base color.....did you spray it over the same primer as you used on the other car?
