wedge, i have a track just like yours and i really like it. i did however have to re-align the sections 2 or 3 times before i got them right but it was always my fault because i would tighten something to soon. You have to leave everything loose until it is perfect before you start to tighten the bolts and when you think its perfect you better check it again. I would always try to get one section at a time perfect but thats a big mistake. you have to connect the sections together with everything loose, get them all perfect then start tightening. This can be time consuming, but when you get it right, you will never have to fool with it again and it will be worth it because this track goes together so fast compared to a wooden track. My sections are now very smooth from one to another. i really like how the sections go together using the pins and if i'm just setting my track up to try out a new car, i dont even use the staples clips to hold each section together. i will use them for a race though. Now i did have to change the measurements of where the stand bolted to the ramp section to make it align with the curve. The directions seemed to be wrong about that. I think that you will have to make the very top of the track 50" high and it will align perfectly. I know that you would rather spend your time building new cars and racing them, but if you take your time and get this right, you will love your track. I hope this helps.
