I placed the weight of my car as high as possible over the rear wheels. That put the weight 3/4" in front of the rear wheels on the ramp and over them on the flat. It ran very well but I haven't read anything else about this. Am I on to something ??

1st: Welcome!
2nd: You actually want the weight as low as possible to lower the center of gravity of your car. It will help with stability, plus it actually increases the potential energy of the car when sitting at the starting pin.
