Beautiful! What are you using for your guide pins? I have some .080" plexiglass that I am planning on using for my boys' guide pins, but I'm not certain it is strong enough.

Roosclan, I use the little plastic pieces that are used to hold glass in a china cabinet. You can find packs of them at any local Wal-Mart/K-Mart store. I just grind them down on a belt sander to the size I want. I have 2 cars (not pictured above) that have plexi-glass pins and they have held up great, the plexi-glass should work just fine for you !! Sharp cars! The paint detail looks great without being overdone too. Thanks for sharing.

Those are beautiful cars lucky!!! I assume that is a mix of air brush and stencils, but even the base paints look great. Is that air brush paint as well? If regular spray paint, may I ask the brand name? I have been using the automotive touch up paints from Testor's but not too impressed to this point.

Thanks for the compliments !! I paint the graphics with my airbrush and with stencils from DerbyDoc.com. The base-coats on some of the cars are airbrushed and some rattle cans. I was using Krylon rattle cans for the base-coats/clear, but not anymore. They recently changed the look of their cans and they must have changed the paint formula also ? The new stuff is junk. I actually thought I was doing something wrong until a few other guys spoke up about having the same problems. I then did an Internet search and found more people having problems. I have now switched to the Dupli-Color lacquer brand of paint and I'm really happy with it. They make a very good primer/filler also !!

I used the Duplicolor filler primer on 2 of the boys' cars and they have great finishes. I ran out, though, and used some Krylon primer on my Tiger's car. I put the Kustom Kolor black base paint on it and it peeled. Now I have to strip it with lacquer thinner, refinish, and resand. Then my Tiger can reprime and repaint it. At least their Acrylic Clear is still good for clear coating.
