Hey everybody,
This is my first post but I'm pretty sure I read almost everthing on this board. The info here is incredible!
I had a question on start wires....the wire loop some guys use at the front of the car to get a jump at the start...
Are they prohibited by WIRL? It seems like the concept would work but when I check out the car pics on the WIRL site I don't see anybody using them.

I THINK THEY ARE ALLOWED BUT ON THAT TYPE OF TRACK WITH THAT STARTING GATE IT DOES NOT HELP YOU THE PIN FALLS TO FAST JUST MY 2 CENT.

Same 2 cents here. The old broomstick handle with wooden pegs being turned by hand was slow enough to give an advantage to the metal 'quick start' cars. With spring-loaded gates, as on Best Track, the start post drops faster than the cars react.
