Hi gang -- will someone do a quick fact check for me before I start bending axles for a RR with a lifted NFW ... I was planning to bend the DFW 2.5, and the rears 1.5 ... the NFW axle will stay straight. The DFW would be about 1/16" further into the body than the other wheels. Sound about right? Also ... I'm going to bend commercial lathed and polished single-groove axles. How can I protect the finish during the bending? I'll definitely re-polish down to 1 micron afterwards. Thanks so much

2.5 on rear, 1.5 DFW. Try wrapping axle (one layer) in painters tape, less residue than masking.

it wood be very hard to get your axles the same on rear of car useing this methed. cant car body on rears or use RRtool from derby worx and use ungroved axles because groved axle could bend in the groves. for front axle we put axle trew wheel then put 032 gap gage on axle just like if puting on car mark axle then take the axle put in drill press take small thin file cut small grove in axle. then put axle in vise use small screwdriver place screwdriver in grove tap very light. that way you dont distort axle.

DRT1010 got it right. Rear axles at 2.5, Front at 1.5, re-polish with last couple of steps. Check it with your magnifying glass. Good luck!
