How do you polish the axles and the wheel bores and is it needed to do something to the wheel tread. I tried tonight and i just could not get the exels to do anything, they still have the little burr underneat the head, that thing must be hard to get out and the two little stamp maeks on the shaft of the axle is also hard, do you have to press down hard with a file? I need some advice.

Rpenning,
Welcome to the boards. Basically on the axles, a triangular file will work on the burrs underneath the axle head and then you will need to sand the axles from 400 up to as high as you can get on the sandpapers. We go to 8000 grit. For the wheels, you will need at the minimum to polish the wheel bores which you can use special plastic polish like micro gloss and micro finish or just go with whitening toothpaste. Use a pipe cleaner and go 15 seconds with each media. There are other things to do but that will get you started.
