Hi, I have purchased the following tools:
Pro-Hub Tool (5110) Pro-Outer Hub Shaver (5115) Pro-Wheel Mandrel (5175) Pro-Bore Polisher
to be used with BSA wheels. The directions and videos are clear but I am little confused on what order I should do things. From the videos my guess is this:
1) Squaring with the Pro-Hub Tool 2) Outer hub shaving with the Pro-Outer Hub Shaver? 3) Sand tread using the Pro-Wheel Mandrel 4) Coning with Pro-Hub Tool 5) Polishing with the Pro-Bore Polisher using only the piper cleaner.
Is this the correct order? I'm not sure about outher hub shaving?
Thanks,
Tyler

Is this the correct order? I'm not sure about outher hub shaving? Thanks, Tyler Tyler, I would suggest the following order although I would forego the coning of the wheel hub if you have the new wheels which is likely the case with a new kit. 1) Squaring with the Pro-Hub Tool (Otherwise it will not be balanced on the mandrel) 3) Sand tread using the Pro-Wheel Mandrel 2) Outer hub shaving with the Pro-Outer Hub Shaver? (After using the mandrel) 5) Polishing with the Pro-Bore Polisher using only the piper cleaner. (After using the mandrel and the outer hub shaver/ hub tool combo due to their placement in the wheel bore) 4) Coning with Pro-Hub Tool (Not necessary to cone the inner hub with new wheels) I'm not exactly sure what you mean by #5 "using only the pipe cleaner". You need to use either micro gloss or other polishing media inside the wheel bore. Hope that helps!

Hi Daryl, Thanks for the advice on the order of preparing the wheels. The comment I made about only using the pipe cleaner was in reference to instructions listed on the maximum velocity web site , www.maximum-velocity.com/pro-bore.htm, which says not to use the Pro-Bore tool with BSA wheels as their bore is too small but to instead use a pipe cleaner with the wheel bore polish (I should have said "...using only a pipe cleaner with polish in my post). I haven't checked yet if this is indeed the case. In any event thanks again for the clarification! Tyler

Tyler,
That is correct. Use the pipe cleaner alone with the bore polish of choice. The extra absorbent jumbo cleaners or the tapered pipe cleaners both of which you get from the specialty tobacco shops are very good for polishing the bores. If you do not have any, pm me your address and I will send you some.
