Attending a corporate convention where there is going to be an adult pinewood derby for a fundraiser. I can purchase a premade car from the group or bring my own. So I am wanting to find a pro-builder who can produce a great car for the event and customize with my company name or colors. Can you help me find a car builder? Thanks, Larry kcphaeton@gmail.com You posted this in the modified section...are you looking for a mod? When is the race? What are the rules?

Good Questions...There are plenty of top notch builders in this forum...many of the cars could be seen on www.wirlracing.com and others... Any builder would want to know the rules and wether or not you would want to go for speed and the win or SHOW! Very different designs. Let us know more details. GC

Kinda funny- I saw this somewhere else, too. A question for the guys that work up their own cars, as in probably everybody here:
At $5 an hour for labor (not even minimum wage), what do you think your car would be worth, without even considering the $20 tungsten weight, the lube and the paint?
The simplest car I ever built would be worth over $200, as near as I can figure. And that doesn't even guarantee a win...

Agreed.
At best with every detail covered ...it still seems you still need a little luck on the alignment
Someone should invent an Axle Insertion jig for the cars to be place into while you insert the axle into holes or slots. I already use the Derby Worx Axle Guide and Probody Drill Press...
I guess this is just the area I need to work on most....(Which is why I built and alignment slope so I can see how the car runs on a slight incline...Then I make my adjustments.
