Okay...I understand that COM stands for Center Of Mass but I'm a little fuzzy on how it's measured and discussed on the forum. When you hear people talking about the COM being so many fractions of an inch from the rear wheels or rear axle, are they talking about the measurement from the rear axle groove/wheel center to the actual "balance point" for the car or are they referring to the distance to the added weight? And if it's to the added weight, to what part of the weight mass?
I hope that made sense...if not I can clarify further. I appreciate all the help and expertise that exists on this forum. Fire away...

Fire away... Centerline of rear axle to the place the car balances when the car is complete, wheels and all.
