Hey folks, son dremmeled out the back cavity for weight and there is no wood/axle slots left really to speak of. What can he do to create axles slots?
I suggested he used wood filler, however, it cracks and does not hold. He needs a good wood/replacement substance in which he can put in and either re-groove or drill into it- any thoughts?

TKP, Thank you for your inquiry. My suggestion is to go buy another kit and start over. It will be very difficult if not impossible to attain tight alignment if you patch-up your axle slots.
I have been building cars for several years and had little success in repairing cars in such circumstances.
If you have to stay with your current car body, I have filled areas with epoxy and re-drilled. Drilling epoxy is very difficult and easily clogs the recessed areas of the drill. Again, not much luck with this process.
