My son won at our pack competition, but cracked both sides in front. The nails are the only thing hanging in there. The trap for stopping the cars was more brutal than we thought. I was thinking of gluing and pinning it. Has anyone ever had to repair something like this? Any ideas on fixing this? What kind of glue?
That happened to one of the twins cars last year. I used a Safety pin and cut it right at the bend, then chucked it in a cordless drill and slowly ran it into the wood (after using CA glue). I used a small "tweaker" (screwdriver) to push the broken end of the pin flush in the body. Kind of like using re-bar in concrete. I hope this helps some. Best of luck in the district race. Both of the twins get to race in the "champion" class this year here as well, WOOHOO!!
