That happened to one of the twins cars last year. I used a Safety pin and cut it right at the bend, then chucked it in a cordless drill and slowly ran it into the wood (after using CA glue). I used a small "tweaker" (screwdriver) to push the broken end of the pin flush in the body. Kind of like using re-bar in concrete. I hope this helps some. Best of luck in the district race. Both of the twins get to race in the "champion" class this year here as well, WOOHOO!!
