I ordered grooved axles and am wondering if these will work in the rail rider configuration --will I be able to pound/angle the groove axles with the Pro Axle press & also the rider tool or am I better off polishing off my own staright axles for rail rider?

Basically-do the regular ungrooved axles work better for the rail rider or can a guy use the (web-bought) notched/grooved axles and still use the rail rider tools with the notched axles?

Grooved axles work great with the Pro Rail Rider Tool. Remember, you don't "Pound" them, it takes a light tap which should not effect your axles. For added insurance, I use a small piece of painters tape on the axle or if I need a little more angle, a 1/8" strip of biz card. It will not only protect the axle, but it will give you an extra half degree if bend.
