I previously used some wedge-shaped weights that I bought from a BSA store and I absolutely love them. These weights can be screwed onto the car instead of having to bore out a section of the car and pour in melted lead. The also make it easy if your car is overweight by being able to snip off portions of the weight quite easily. My question is this: Should I make a depression in the battom of the car so the weights sit flush or just leave them exposed? The danger in embedding the weights is in case I need to lighten the weight. Any thoughts?

You should always try to flush mount the wedge shaped zinc plates for the necessary ground clearance. This can be a pain for some and the makes the tungsten cylinders and canopy's a easier choice to install since they only take a simple drilled hole. Also, the zinc plate is so long for how little weight it is, it really does not give you a competitive center of gravity for best performance.
