With this year's derby's over the project now is to build a test track. I have the timer hardware and software, and found some materials that should work out. But There are some specs that I need. I was hoping that someone might have them.
I have read to use a 30 degree angle down - though in pictures it is looks to be 60 - like the slope is an equilateral triangle. What would be the degrees between the angle coming straight up from the ground to the running surface of the track?
My biggest question is how sharp the radius is for the bend that transitions from the down angle to the flat. To sharp an angle and the car would bottom out. Not sharp enough and I won't get that "kick" when the cars level out.
