Here are a couple of pictures of the LOREE RACING entry. This year I did not build a "creative car" but built a simple wedge instead. I showed it to my son and he told me it was "Lame and not his style" soooo I added a fin and painted some graphics and showed it to him again and this time he just shook his head and walked away. STYLE STYLE What does an 11 year old know about style anyway Good Luck everybody and send in some pictures, I for one have been looking forward to seeing all the new cars.

Kayjon, I know that feeling. You build something for endless hours and show it to your son hoping he'll share your enthusiasm and he could care less. HyperDrive

That is one fine looking car. I especially like the wood and graphics combination. How you kept the wood from scarring is amazing and the clear coat is immpecable. The fin gives it a cool vintage look from the 40's and 50's like something Buck Rogers would ride. Keep up the fine work Kayjon.

That car is another great one. Keep making great cars. We are having a workshop tomorrow and I am planning on showing this to the boys to show them how cool "simple" can be.
Keep it up.

By putting on about 10 layers of clear. I almost didn't have to add weight to this car. ;D I'm disappointed with the pictures so when it comes back from Georgia I will try again and repost.
That is a FINE LOOKING car you built RICEROCKET! When and where will it be showing/racing?

That is a FINE LOOKING car you built RICEROCKET! When and where will it be showing/racing? (10 coats of clear * smacks forehead * ) ;D Thanks for the comment on the Lemans car. It was built for my sons' Pack Pinewood Derby in early February (2 weeks from today). It and my wife's "popcorn box" car will race in the adult class. If it does OK, I may send it in to WIRL. I left a spot on the bottom clear just in case I do decide to send it in to Georgia. Looking forward to seeing how your new car does tonight at WIRL. What's its' name?

I would definitely send it to Georgia, that car is a show winner.
