Here are a few pictures of the latest ProQuest/F.A.S.T. collaboration -- "Katana" I shaped, Rick painted. She was built to run in a local Pinecar Race that is held annually in Houston to benefit a Charity. When the Pinecar race is over I'll convert her to a new Modified Class for PWDR. I am really excited about this one. ProQuest/Steve H.

Nice job !! You and FAST make a good team !! Good Luck in the upcoming local race. I'm sure that if it's as fast as your other creations the locals won't have a chance !! Lucky 13

Hey fishbone:
Actually, the holes over the axles are just holes for glue. I glue from the top and bottom. I suppose I could try to use set screws in them, but that was not the original purpose of the holes.
The other holes are to give me easy access to weights. If I want to remove a weight, or try different weight placement options, I can place a small gage pin or drill blank in the hole on top of the weight I want to remove, and just gently tap with a hammer until it comes out.
That's the story of the holes.

Hey Gravity:
Sorry for not responding to your question sooner. I some how failed to see it until just now. Unfortunately, I still can't answer your question -- I didn't paint Katana. I wouldn't know which end of an airbrush the paint comes out of. The paint was done by our Friend in PWD, Rick Pion, of F.A.S.T. Racing. I shaped. Rick painted. His paint jobs are truly dazzling.
You can ask Rick directly through a p.m. how he laid the paint, or if he happens to read this, I'm sure he will respond.
JustaDad, you have my number. Now that Katana has done her thing at the Buzz 94.5 Derby, I have plenty of time.
BTW, tune in on Saturday for the monthly Proxy race. Keep checking this board for the start time. I don't kow it, but someone will post it.
Steve
