What steps can be taken after static alignment is finished to improve the cars performance? Beyond getting the car rolling straight, shimming, wheel prep, axle prep, ect, what is the *next step* towards improving performance?
In other words, how do you "track tune" a car if you have access to a test track and timer? This past weekend we participated in the Soapbox Derby and watched several teams align their cars using dial indicators and alloy jigs. They typically run .002 forward angle and .001 vertical to compensate for spindle flex at speed. Which got me thinking.
Is there a similar process to apply to Pinewood Derby cars?

The most common thing most of us hear is to minimize the migration of the wheels on the axles (in and out). As far as anything else, I'm still searching too.
