there's no doubt that he builds fast cars. In the typical derby arena, his cars should win. All of us that race in WIRL are accustomed to winning our respective races as well. These monthly competitions are, in my mind, the best racing against the best. If he was to come in and dominate the WIRL league, then I'm sure we'd all be impressed and humbled somewhat.
For the time being, I'm thinking Warp is the only one that can give Road Hog II a run for his money, and he's been absent as of late.
I'm all for good, clean, fair competition. It simply keeps us striving to get better.

The issue I have is advertising cars on Ebay for Cubs to use to win their derbys. This is definitely NOT the "Spirit" of the BSA Pinewood Derby. Anyone who purchases one of these cars for the purpose of racing in a Scout event should be ashamed of themselves. Half of the guys selling cars on Ebay advertise their cars as being the fastest. I don't like the idea of using the Wirl races as a means to sell ready made cars. To me this is a hobby I enjoy and the challenge of beating the clock is alot of fun. Maybe I'll enter 10 cars next month so I can regain my "Stock Builder Title". This is getting expensive.

He says all of his cars are the "FASTEST" on eBay. Did eBay have a Derby Race between all of the listed cars that I didn't know about? ?? eBay is into everything!

Yes, he does build some fast cars...
But you can't help but notice that he isn't consistent like the other fast builders. His cars are all over the place.

Ok...I did a little work on the calculator and with the new rule of dropping your slowest time it does change results. For example Problem Child would have finished third instead of 6th. Some of the other cars ran inconsistantly. I can't complain because I was for the change. I guess I didn't plan on having 6 consistant runs in a day. The reason I put it on this thread is because it means that I outran ... The fastest teacher in the Universe ;D

Great observation Joker!! I don't understand why anybody would buy a car on eBay. Building the car with your son is 99.99% of the fun of Pinewood Derby! His approach to selling is different than other sellers on eBay. He claims to be a Physics Teacher which I feel in a way is taking advantage of the average person who has little knowledge of Pinewood Derby cars. The Physics Teacher thing and the "Fastest Car on eBay" claim is to me deceptive advertising.
