Anybody got any tips on packaging up cars to send in. So far I've just been wrapping them up in bubble wrap and putting them in a box.

We made boxes for our cars out of old school boxes, like cigar boxes. I got some high density foam from work. It comes as packaging in lots of electrical stuff we receive, especially Allen Bradley drives. Then I cut a piece to fit inside the box about 3/4 inch thick. Cut slots for wheels to fit through so they hang freely. This should work for any car shape. Then cut other pieces to custom fit your individual shape cars. Cut it thick enough that when you put it on top of your car and close the lid it puts pressure on car and holds it in place. We have packed all our cars this way and have never had a problem due to shipping. Box with car enclosed weighs about 13 ozs. Not sure but if WIRL is still providing custom boxes, but if they are then I think this is something like what you will get.

Thanks WW,
I paid the extra money to get the fitted packing in June but they came back the same way I sent them. I will have to try to find some foam for packing. Anyone know a where you can buy some?

Go to a post I put in March. Under photos... labeled Shipping Case... I can get up to six cars in this case. Cost me $50 on ebay, and I pay about $12 each month to ship... but ain't nothing happening to my cars... I'll guarantee that.....
