I am wondering what the consensus is for tapping the wheel hubs. I have tried it on a set of wheels and freespin times seemed to increase by about 2-4 seconds. This tells me there must be less drag on the axel. I'm curious however if anyone has tested this out on a track to see what the results may have been. Maybe using a timer before/after. What about right vs. left treads. Is there a difference? Would the wheel tend to drift towards the body or away from the body with left vs. right? It seems that the serious WIRL competitors have tried almost every combination out there. This is one subject I do not see brought up often or at all.

I also had a question on this and would love some input. Is this a good idea in the stock division only, or for the modified too?

We gave threading (both left hand and right hand) a good look last year but after a lot of track testing found it to be slower. Good basic axle and wheel prep together with effective alignment have performed best on our cars. Panzer
