Time to make plans. Are you ready to run with the big dogs ? Lima Land Open September 22, 2007 Lima Fairgrounds Lima, Ohio. The race will be a PWDRacing sanctioned event and will use PWDRacing rules and classes. Entry fee will be $10 a car. There is no age limit on cars, so dust off that old car and bring it out of retirement !! Classes will be divided in to youth and adult (except Hot Rod, which will only be one class). There will also be a show class. Lots of door prizes !! Some new additions for 2007.. Derbymaster will be bringing his Hot Wheel race track for all the kids (old and young) to race their fastest cars on !! There will also be a Soap Box Derby car display and R/C Car display + more... Larry is also ordering a limited amount of Lima Land Open t-shirts, so anyone wanting one may want to contact him. Please remember the Lima Land Open race is run in conjunction with the "Rebel Run" car show so you will have to pay a small entry fee to get into the fairgrounds. The car show attracts around 2500 cars annually and makes for a great event to attend. Bring the family and make a weekend event out of it !! If you have ANY question please contact me or Larry Reed. I look forward to seeing you all there !!
Thank You, Bob Hardwick Lucky 13 Pinewood Racing

Any of you builders out there have a pinewood "big rig" and would like to display it at the Lima Land Open ? If so we will have a table set-up to show off your handy work and if you want to, you can put them in the show division.

Has anyone out there traveled on a plane with these cars?
Best methods? Check in or carry on?
Thanks for any response.
I did check the travelers website on acceptable items (Thanks GoBubbaGo) and it looks like no big deal. Just wondering if anyone has experienced it .

Hello everyone, just wanted to drop a line and let the people attending the Lima Land Open know that seats are very limited, so if you have a lawn chair, folding chair, etc.. you will want to bring it. Also tables will be provided to set the cars on along with a limited supply of wood blocks to put the cars on, if you have blocks to put your cars on please bring them !! It would help out a lot.
On another note, we are working on getting something set-up for people to pre-register their cars for the race. This will save a lot of time at check-in. More info will follow on this.
and one last thing. We are also working on just using 3 lanes on the track instead of 4. This will help considerably in getting the race done in a reasonable time. More info will follow on this also.
I'm looking forward to seeing all of you in Lima. Thanks to everyone who has offered help and support and also a Thanks to all the sponsors that have offered their products.
