If you are going to make people login in order to view the board, you should direct to a login area instead of just saying "you are not authorized to view this board". You get that when you click on a message notification link from email.

I will mae the change to the message I posted under the banner to clear things up! Thanks for the heads up!

yea, unfortunately we nned to build a base and for now this is the best way to do it. I suggest logging into the boards and then placing it on your favorites list. Then it should allow you right in. I will not have it locked forever.

I will not have it locked forever. Other websites that require registration for viewing info put you in the login screen, then take you to the info you wanted via the link. How is putting website in your favorites going to help logging in procedures when you click on the link from a email? Might want to change your sending address from nobody@proboards to webmaster@pinewoodperformance.com Completely off subject but how is fundraising going for the August race?

I had no idea that you were logging into our site from an email. Making it a favorite would prevent you from having to log in at all. Registering gives you the option to stay logged in.

and my email is set correctly, I am not sure where the nobody@proboards.com is coming in, that may be the "proboards" email not ours as we are on server 29 not server 1.
The Donations are at Zero, we have no track timer or software and the Ohio State fair race is the same day so It isn't going to work our unless we shoot for July and I can't see the donations making it by then. I am sending the letters out this week...

Watching a topic emails get sent out with the appropriate link to the topic. Site is already bookmarked so I don't think that makes any difference. Bummer about the lack of donations so far. Based on interest would you make enough money from registrations to pay for timer? Would it be worthwhile having a race using Pope/Young charts or something like that? I was planning to go from your race to WIRL modified division (should placement be decent), Matthew wanted to try for tropy before shipping halfway across the country for WIRL race. Would you like me to forward a copy of the email that is being sent? Need to get cracking on a good shipping system if you race July!

there is nothing I would rather do than make this work but I don't think we can get it done before August... I guess we can make it in September and call it a back to school race!

So you do have track but no electronic timer? Were you wanting the timer so you could have a WIRL sactioned event or did you just want to test out new equipment before your regular pack race? Lots of luck getting things going!

I understand wood tracks can be ulgy. One lane faster than another and all that. Go for a better juding system? Doesn't this offer just a new set of challenges to overcome? Don't you use a little Spigel wood track for testing? Threader

Threader yeeeeess, I do use a MDF track for testing but I feel wood tracks are unfair to the car, they warp, the wear, they get eaten...I want aluminum or ABS
