We have a firm date for the Scioto Valley District PWD. March 12. I am running it from head to toe and it looks like I am gonna end up buying the track out of my own pocket too (42' Aluminum Best Track, 3 lane). Anyway... I am running an OPEN class for modified cars, in this class friends and relatives may race. Top 3 receive trophies, Big Ones! We will be using the open class for dads, moms brothers friends and cars that dont pass inspection. We are going to run a timed race. depending on the ammount of cars we will either have 3 or 6 races each. The lowest 16 cars will go on to the finals. Before the finals we will calculate 1-3rd lowest times for Tiger/Wolf/Bear/Webs and open and then give trophies for 1-3rd Then the top 16 go onto a double elimination tournament the Top 4 will then be given trophies so most likely 4 kids will get 2 trophies and depending on how nice the car looks it could receive 3. That is because I am doing a best in show for all who enter. Each boy who enters gets 2 votes, the top 3 vote getters receive a trophy. I am inviting any of you to come on down to the Westland Mall and bring a car! Would anyone be interested in coming? You can bring a stock car but it will have to be racing in the Mod Division. I am going to Drag Racer X over from St. Louis anyone else wanna come?

First of all, I would love to come! I will do everything I can to get out there. I was wondering if you are going to use the GrandPrix software. If so, it doesn't do the double elimination method of race. You may want to check on that if this is your plan. Nancy

Yes, spoke to Randy a few months back and he explained they left it out on purpose because in his opinion it isnt fair to the kids, I agree, but since we race for time first kids get anywhere form 5-8 races each (depending on volume) and those who keep winning get more, we plan on using Stan Popes chart blown up on a poster or banner to show the results! We also plan on using YOUR timer!
