Once again there will be TWO races in a single month.
The normal PwdRacing League points race is on the 15th.
A SPECIAL exhibition race is on the 14th as a part of the Chief Black Dog District Pinewood Derby. This race will be on the 64 foot Challenger track so your cars will have to run a bit longer to get to the finish. The current track record from a WIRL sanctioned race is in the 4.1 second range by Starburst from Warthog Woodcars.
There are about 140 boys who will be racing their cars in the regular races. I plan on taking a break partway through for the "Open Division" races. Your car will be running once in each lane, a total of 6 runs. I don't plan on having the normal "practice" run to train the workers and pick out/fix the cars that have a hard time getting to the finish.
To see the stats for the track check out "2007 Unit Results" from the PwdRacing.com home page.
There will be a fantastic trophy for the winner and recognition items for everyone else -- looks like a couple real nice of patches and certificate will be what the budget has in it.

I hope to see lots of you race at both the District Open Division and the normal Points race the next day! -- Two races in a weekend and only one shipping cost!
I am working on getting internet access for the District races so they can be available LIVE!
There will also be a Semi race/show too!
Thanks and hope to see you racing!
