Would the setup be different for a car run on a track with edge guides as compared to a center rails track? If so, what changes would have to be made for optimum performance.
Thanks in advance for the help.

My club had a supertrack for a few years. I made the car as wide as possible and made sure that the outside of the wheels were smooth (sanded off Awana Grand Prix). Make it roll straight and have all 4 touching so a dead wheel doesn't touch the rail and slow it down. You can weight it fairly aggressively but don't get too much or you'll go side to side. That was much faster for me than having it go to one side all the way down.
