Bluegrass Nationals 2009...WOW !! So much to say, so many to Thank !! I know I have received many e-mails/pm's and great post here on the forum thanking me for a great race, but the truth is, the THANKS go out to ALL of you for making the BGN 2009 the BEST live race !! Without all of you, there is no BGN, so Thank you for all the support. I received so much and help and support this year that it was amazing. Everyone stepped in and offered help wherever and whenever it was needed. Thank you to Warren, Jeanne, Dan, Alyssa and DJ for all your hard work and driving all the way from Minnesota after just getting home from New Mexico. I know I have said it before , but it just amazes me on how much stuff you can pack into that van. ProQuest and B&B Racing, Thank you both for all your hard work getting the track prepped and ready to race, it was perfect. 5 hours of prepping/cleaning balancing and it showed !! ProQuest Thank you for all the continued support and help, you are a great friend. I appreciate you helping me out with the car check-in even though it is not your favorite thing to do. It was a lot of fun hanging out with you Thursday and creating "Frankenstein". We make a pretty good car together ;D. To all the sponsors/vendors, you are all top notch. The BGN had the Best of the Best sponsors and it showed. Everyone left with a bunch of great products. The generosity was amazing. Please remember to drop the sponsors an e-mail/pm or even a phone call and thank them for the products you won, it really makes a difference !! The amount of door prizes was crazy. I didn't think we would ever get them all handed out. Congrats to Boanagers Racing for winning the Best Track and Champ Timer !! Thank you to the vendors who came out and set up booths. I hope it went well for each of you. Congrats to all the winners this year...B&B Racing was kickin' *ss all day with wins in Stock, Hot Rod 66 and even a sweep in the Pro-Stock class. DerbyDominator wasn't going to be denied and did the same thing, sweeping the Pro-Modified class. Dapine showed what can be done with a set of 70 cent washer and won the Extreme Pro-Modified class (I'm still not sure if I believe you Da Pine ;D ). ProQuest continued proving his dominance in Pure Stock and Limited and even pulled out a win in Modified !! On the youth side of things...Sky Racing was the kid to beat winning every youth division we had !! Heck, next year I'm asking him to put on a clinic so I can learn a few things ;D !! In conclusion the day was filled with lots of great racing, wonderful camaraderie and fun, which to me, is what it is all about !! It was a great atmosphere this year and everyone seemed to be relaxed and having a lot of fun. I seen many handshakes and high fives and congrats given out throughout the day, which made me feel like I had accomplished what I originally set out to do when I decided to run the BGN, which was to create a race where everyone could compete, have fun and get to meet the faces behind the names. We had a much better lay out of the room this year, which made things easier on the racers as well. I just wish they would have turned the AC on BEFORE we set the track up ? Oh well...next year we will get that right !! lol !! I don't want to start naming people in fear that I may accidentally miss someone...so I will say this to all of you, My Friends...
Thank you for Everything !! It was GREAT getting to meet and talk to all of you. Thank you for taking the time out of your lives to spend a few days In Somerset, Kentucky with me and the BGN. I hope to see each and everyone of you again in the near future and look forward to racing with you as well. The BGN was FANTASTIC Thanks to each and everyone of you !! God Bless & Take Care,Lucky 13
