This car offered a few challenges to construct with ascending and descending body lines. After researching photos for a few months, planing and cutting of parts for Ultra Pink commenced. [/img] Vertical grain wood was used to form of the rear wheel wells and spoiler uprights. The body of the car and fenders are horizontal grain wood. [/img] [/img] With assembly completed shaping begins on car body and wheel fenders (rear) with carving tools and rifler files. Spoiler is cut then pretested for fit prior to gluing. [/img] Car is sanded then primed with four coats of an enamel oil based primer, brushed. Between coats of primer car is sanded. [/img] Introducing Ultra Pink. Axles guides are interchangeable for either large or needle axles. [/img] Firenze Derby SportsCars

SRC Racing, Speedie4U, and Lucky 13,
I appreciate the comments on the new modified, Ultra Pink. Next is getting some break-in time on a track. I hope to have it entered at WIRL or PWD Racing in August or September.
Lucky 13 and SRC Racing you two are way to fast for Firenze. Maybe I need to attend a speed seminar (are either of you are offering one) before the 2010 Bluegrass Nationals?
