I have used this style of track for several years and am wondering if it is common among WIRL folk? I started with this type when replacing the 25 year old wood track since it was the one being sold through the BSA stores. . . I recently added the out two lanes for a full six lane track. Beta Craft charges around $15 per 93" piece. The track is now 6 wide and 8 long. The scouts came up with the name for the track when I first unveiled it, Mr. Slick, hence my screen name. I am using bicycle tubes on raised center rails for the stopping area. . . any chance of getting something better?

Mr. Slick The adhesive backed foam Best Track uses works great. I am not sure where Steve gets it. You could email and ask him or try this link: www.findtape.com/product226/JVCC-SCF-01-Single-Coated-Foam-Tape.aspx?cid=23&idx=1&tid=1&info=Foam%2bTape I almost bought the Beta Craft but decided on the Best Track for ease of set up and it came with all aluminum frames as well as a complete package. No wood to buy or wooden frames to make. But once you get it set up the Beta Craft is an awesome track. I hope this helps. HumV
