I'm just estimating the distance from the back of the "start" section to the first set of electronic eyes, and from the finish line to the end of the last section of track. I'm guessing around 12-14 inches from the back of the start section to the first set of eyes, and then about another 12-14 inches from the finish line to the end of the last section. I have no idea if that's right or not (35 feet overall, 14 inches off the front end, and 14 inches off the back end = 32.66' of racing). Does that seem about right?

Now I'm wondering if maybe our timing system's programmed distance is off or not. Hmmm. May not be off, but appears to be a good 4" in FRONT of pin drop, effectively shortening the track.
