Our Awana Grand Prix was held on March 21. It went without incident. My daughter was able to extend her championship streak another year (6 years and still going ). She got first place in her division and first place overall out of 51 cars. ;D She wanted to beat the boys with a pink car this year.

Hey Mike:
Awesome job. Congrats to your daughter. Does this mean we'll be seeing more of you on the boards and seeing more of your cars on race day? Hope so.

Thanks guys. Yea, she wanted to go for speed this year and not worry so much about the design awards.
We have the state race coming up on April 21 (110 ft track!). I will be taking the top 10 kids from our local race to compete again this year.
After that is out of the way, I hope to get some cars sent in to race.

Barry, I have dreamed of running on that track for a year now, and I think my nephew and I are eligible to run this year. The problem is we're going to be on vacation that week. Oh well, there is always next year. Good luck Mike and Steph!! Phil

Stef is not eligible to run this year and wasn't last year either... Our chruch does not offer Awana to her age group...but she still holds the track record for all of the kids!!! I on the other hand get to race in the leaders division!!! I can't wait.

I bet you guys could charge a fee just to make one run on that awesome track!
With that kind of drop off the gate, aerodynamics is going to be a more dominant factor than on a BSA or WIRL track!

I would be willing to pay just to see if my car's could come close to the 5.152 record. My son is a third year pack champ in his scout pack. We keep getting faster every year...or is everyone else getting slower??? Who knows, we are having too much fun letting everyone in his pack know just how we built are car's each year, and still beating them. If everything keeps going the way it has this week, we will be there to see this monster
