Looks like another fast one Warp Speed. I can't wait to see it run. Have you run any tests with it compared to Digger Too? In keeping with the thread topic, here is new car for the month of July from Warthog Woodcars. Achilles and Samson will be sent back in. Hopefully they will be faster. I am trying out some different lubricants on them. Good Luck to all the racers this month.

A real heavy duty fellah. Here is what the World Book Encyclopedia has to say about Odin: Became the ruler of the universe after he and his two brothers, Ve and Vili, killed the frost giant Ymir, the first living being. From Ymir's huge body, they made Midgard, the earth; and began to build Asgard, the dwelling place of the gods.
Valhalla was Odin's home in Asgard. There he feasted with the souls of heroes who had died in battle. Odin, a fearless fighter, carried a spear as his weapon, and rode an eight-legged horse called Sleipnir. He inspired ferocious human warriors called Berserkers who fought recklessly without armor and felt no wounds.
Odin was the wisest god. He gave up one eye for the right to drink from the spring of wisdom, guarded by Mimir, a supernaturally wise creature. Odin was also known for his magic powers. By wounding and hanging himself from a tree, he acquired the power of spells called runes. They let him predict the future, change his shape at will, and visit the underworld. Odin's sons included Thor, the god of thunder and lightning, and Balder, the god of goodness. According to Norse myths, Odin will lead the gods against the evil giants at Ragnarok, the battle that will destroy the world. He will be eaten by Fenrir, a ferocious wolf.
The Anglo-Saxons' name for Odin was Woden. It was the source of the word Wednesday.

Wow!! thanks for the description Panzer. I knew some of that, but not all of it. My main reason for going with Odin is that it relates to the Vikings - Being one of the main Viking gods. This goes along with me being from Minnesota and also with family heritage. Tests on my home track did not go as well as I had hoped for the modifications I made. I'm hoping that the changes will show greater improvements on the WIRL track. Warp, it always amazing to see how precise your cars turn out. They always look perfect in their design with no flaws. That goes as well for Panzer's cars. I was hoping that Odin would be a sub 3 second car, but I was not impressed by the tests on my home track. I think Puma and Cheetah might be safe from Odin at least for this month anyway. I need to look a little harder to attain hunting permits for them.

Panzer, That was cute about the endangered species thing. And thanks for the mythology lesson. That Odin guy sounds like he makes Atilla look like a schoolgirl.
I'm hoping for a huge turnout this weekend.
Panzer, Any chance you'll ever venture into the "Stock" domain?

Well, just finished testing Hunter, aka "Poacher" ;D And things didn't go well for me. I have been VERY busy with work and family, and haven't had any time to answer e-mails, let alone dedicate any time to racing. Tonight my son went to a friends house for the night and the wife was watching a movie, so I thought I would set the track up and make a few runs. All went well until the first run, which was a baseline run with Digger Too. In my haste, I forgot to put a towel at the end of the stop section. Needless to say, Digger Too flew off the end and fell 2ft to the concrete driveway, all but destroying it! Hunter ran OK based on that first run, but I was so sick, I soon packed it in for the evening. Not sure what I am going to do for this month. All the cars need work, this month may be UGLY for Warp Speed Inc. If you wait until the last minute, there is NO room for error. And with all the great builders out there, the stuff has to be perfect to compete. On a lighter note, GREAT looking car Warthog! I'm sure it will be fast. You did great right out of the box last month, I look for you to be chasing down Cheetah in the very near future. Also, I love the name. Our last Bullmastif was named Woden, after the same God. That is the only other time I have heard that name used. As far as Panzer building a stock car, I'm sure I can speak for the rest of the stock builders by saying "I hope not!!" Good Luck and Happy Racing!! Warp Speed Inc.

Digger Too flew off the end and fell 2ft to the concrete driveway, all but destroying it! Warp, Sorry to hear about Digger Too. I'm sure once the mourning is over, Hunter will be at the front of the pack.

Warp,
Sorry to kear about D2. I know how it feels. Last month our car was dropped the night before we were going to ship it. It cracked in half. We did throw one together for the July race. Now I see the competition will be even stiffer. Nice cars guys.
