Special good luck to Greenhorn look forward to the show car! Remember we're still rookies. It was the 2nd car we've built, 1st show car, so don't be too disappointed. There are some things we wish we would have done much better, but... We like it and that's what counts most Good luck on Saturday. Hopefully we'll be back to see the results before Monday!

Aprils cars look great and ultra fast! My son & I sent in our 1st car for the April race and are looking forward to getting a baseline for future races. We really enjoy working on these cars. Look for us near the rear after looking at these cars! We are so excited to trying new things in the coming months! Look for Hothead the car! Any advice for making our car faster woiuld be helpful.

That's ours. Thanks for the kind words. It was worked on by both myself and my 9 year old. He's as pleased as punch I haven't seen the car pics yet, didn't know they were up. I'm on my way to the WIRL site now. Thanks for the compliment and letting us know the pics are up. Much appreciated.

How do you know which link goes to which car? Unless I'm having a midlife moment, the link names don't match the car numbers or their WIRL registration numbers.

Greenhorn,
I love your car, It is beautiful. I bet your son is proud of it.
You guys had a great month. You have BULLIT really going fast.
If you improve 1/3 as much in May you will be under 2.999 easily. Yeh, I know thats the hard part, but you're having a great time and moving up.
Congratulations,
Phil

Later they will have the picture adn name linked together on the results page. On the site they have a directory called carpix and each month on after it. www.wirlracing.com/carpix/I only guessed at your car. I know others were asking about it and I was interested too. I am very interested in the realistic show division and I'm glad to see others are participating also. I will have at least one there next month and maybe two. Congrats to you both! Woody

One more question, are the windows just one color and the light made them look that way, or are they made that way to start with? And are they paint or decal of some type?

Thanks guys. The boy and I really appreciate it. DNF, you're a really good guesser. Got any tips for the lottery We were able to take our time a little on RR CAPT. Now that baseball is here, new construction will slow or stop until July. The windows are decals that are made to look like light reflections. Actually, this woodcar is a rendition of a Jr. drag racing car family friends have and race in 1/8 mile. The windows are amazingly close to the real car in shape. And the wheels are on the outside of the body on the real car too. I wish they would have shown a pic of the rear, it has the same license plate that's on my truck. We don't have a test track, so we do everything as good as we can and pray for the best. We got very lucky with BULLITT, especially considering it took nearly 6 hours to get aligned the way we wanted. I think we got pretty close, but I wouldn't be looking for a 2.999 just yet. Give us a couple more months ;D Congrats to all the winners. Be looking over your shoulders, GE Super Sports hopes to be right on your side soon.

I'm at work and I rapidly looked at all the April cars in the April carpix file. Those are some beautiful cars! I hope to obtain a good finish like them one day. My boys and I painted ours with brushes (and wow, it was hard to keep up with my six year old and try to smooth out his strokes somewhat!). I then sprayed some clear coat. You all have great looking cars! Looking forward to the next race and watching the videos of this one!
