I retired June 1st, so I don't really know what is that I do.
My wife and I owned a small local grocery/convenience store with 4 apartments over it for the last 15 years.
Before that I owned service stations for 11 years, worked on heavy equipment for 4 years, and was a service manager at a new car dealership.
Since retiring the 1st of the month I have helped the buyers of the store get settled, and spent 2 weeks at Mayo Clinic with my son during his recent operation.
I still have several loose ends on the transfer of the store that will keep me busy for a while. My garage was on the store property, so I have to figure where to put all my valuable possessions (junk). Hard telling how long that will take. After that I'll figure out what I'm going to do with myself.
I'll probably check into a nursing home if I can find one with a PWD track, or at least let me keep my cars and Dremel tool (Smokin' said I could clean my dentures with it too!). I may have to keep my Camaro too.

Originally a machinist for a medical device company. From there, became a quality engineer. I am currently in Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs at the same company; making sure we stay compliant domestically and globally with all the regulatory requirements.

I have been a Registered Nurse for nearly 20 years now. The second half of my life has been dedicated to helping the sick. I spent the last 10 years working in a Medical Intensive Care unit and last June I took a position as the Recovery Room coordinator in a local hospital just a few minutes from my house.
