Has anyone done a test comparing the two ? I have a good baseline for the NyeOil II. After I receive my SB-10, I will post my results of my testing. If anyone else has done this comparison, feel free to post your results.

Mike, what did you think of the Voo Dew you bought. Hi Frank. I haven't had a chance to test it yet. I just got some test wheels made at work, so now I will assemble some cars and start testing. I haven't gotten mine yet, but I believe it is similar to NyeOil, except that it is supposed to be a little more forgiving if you over-apply it, unlike NyeOil. I also purchased Pedro's Xtra Dry to test too. I will post results when I have completed them.

I have both SB-10 & Nyeoil 2 and the SB-10 is based on Krytox and definitely more forgiving. I have not done scientific tests, but I find the SB-10 faster and it doesn't seem to wearout or evaporate. The only problem I have is picking up my cats hair which tends to slow the car. Frankly, I haven't found any other lube that compares to this stuff. I am going to try the new krytox with the anti friction additives. It is more expensive but a little bit goes a long way.

Here is the info from an earlier post:
SB-10 is Dupont Krytox. Miller-Stephenson carries Krytox from 1/2 oz needle bottles for $24.50, 1 oz. for $37.50, 2 oz. for $50.00. Discounts are available for 5 or more. This is for the new 143 series oil which is better than the standar krytox oil because of new additives which reduce friction. The standard Krytox is $17.00 for 1/2 oz, but the price drops when ordering 4 to $11.50. These oils are available in viscosities ranging from 100 to 107. I believe SB-10 is 103. The XP1ao oil has the lowest viscosity of 7 at 68 degrees. It works in a Temp range from -94 to + 150F. Miller-Stephenson has offices in Conn, Ill, Calif & Ontario. USA # is 800-992-2424. Canada is 800-323-4621.

I will definitely be ordering some,Miller-Stephenson in Il. is in my neighborhood.

Just visiting this site has helped us cut .05 seconds off our time on a 32 foot track. Thanks for the tips and for sharing. We want to take home the big one at council next year. This year, our first ,my son placed 3rd. He is 7 and has personally spent over 60 hours on his cars this year. He only lost to the 1st place finisher by 1/4 inch in 3 out of 5 races. The draw down in the double elimination kept him from 2nd place. You can imagine how excited we are about next year. 5 hundreths equates to 7 inches faster at the finish. Thanks again!

Congratulations and Welcome! That is great that you're son is so "in to it" at such a young age. It makes the derby experience much more gratifying, when the child wants to work on the car as much, if not more than you do! Unfortunatly, as his skills develop, you may have trouble in the future, convincing others that you're son actualy built the car. That is a very good problem to have! Hope to see you and you're son in WIRL this year!
Good Luck and Happy Racing!! Warp Speed Inc.

Hi everybody, like I said earler it's good to see moore people getting into WIRL, I have to say the people in the stock class have the hardest job,you can do some things to your car and some things you can't and there is this gray thing you know that I'm talking about, you get to where your at a point you fall under a personal thing and you have to make a choice are you going to be an example for our children or a win at all cost. That's why I say it's the hardest class, there's a lot of room to stray and that's why I personly like the modified class.GOOD RACING TO ALL Frank

Hi everyone: It's been a little over a year since I have been able to sent cars to WIRL...I have been involved in selling our house and building a new house and shop. Boy, has the technology and et's changed. You guys have been smoking the track in modified and stock!!! I'm having to start all over again to establish a new baseline. Most of my pinewood stuff has been in storage for quite some time. I'm having to clean the dust off everything. I have purchase some s-10 from Jenex and the earlier posts indicated it was superior to other lubes...however, I'm not sure I understand the application of it? Do you apply it similar to nyoil and wipe off the excess? If you see s-10, do you have too much on axle and wheel? Would like to test lube and sent a couple cars to Sept race just to build upon next year?? With a hurricane expecting to hit our coast this week and working for an electric utility company...I'm keeping my fingers to test before sending cars. Thanks in advance for your advice and feedback.
