Hi Guys,
Well, BULLITT is almost done. All I have left is to finish lubing and run in of the wheels, and add the last 4 grams of weight.
Right now, the center of gravity (by use of the balance stand from MaxV) is 7/8" forward of the CL of the rear axles, and center from side to side. It still needs 4 grams of weight to bring it to 142 grams. And the left wheel is raised.
My questions are: should I add the weight to maintain this COG (or whatever it should be called)? Or should I add the weight forward and/or to the right to bring the COG a bit forward (1" - 1-1/4") and/or slightly to the right for the touching right wheel stability?
I'm starting on aligning RR CAPT next. With luck, they'll both be at WIRL for the April race -n- show.

TYPICALLY THE WEIGHT PLACEMENT AS FAR BACK & AS LOW AS POSSIBLE IN THE CAR WILL GIVE YOU MORE FALL-TIME ON THE RAMP BEFORE HITTING THE TRANSFER ZONE. COMBINED WITH LOW AXLE/WHEEL FRICTION - THIS WILL ENHANCE YOU CAR'S ABILITY TO REACH MAX. SPEED FASTER WHILE FALLING DOWN THE RAMP. THE ALIGNMENT/SET-UP OF THE CAR WILL DETERMINE YOUR STABILITY IN THE FLAT. HARD FOR ME TO GIVE YOU ANY MORE SPECIFIC ADVICE UNLESS I KNEW THE BODY DESIGN ON YOUR CAR.

I guess it would help. It's a wedge - thin in the front and tapers to about 5/8" in the rear with a tapered nose. Picture Money Pit except it's side are straight and a bit thicker in the rear.
I know most info says that the COG should be about 1-1/4" in front of the rear axles, which is what I tried to design for, but this is what it ended up. The additional weight is stick on golf club weights, so if it does end up with stability issues, I can move it next month but want to be as competitive as possible this month.
Thanks for any help anyone can give us.

There is no exact formula. You could build 10 cars from the same template and weight them the same and come up with 10 different results. Getting a car with the correct sweetspot is a thing of beauty.

Thanks guys, I appreciate your honesty. I think I'll keep the COG where it is and see how it runs, then adjust from there if needed. Thanks.
