Anyone care to share who's wheels they are running?
WarpSpeeds? Air City? Jewkes? Home Brew?
I am going to be running lightened wheels that I turned down on my Taig lathe this month, but I have considered getting some of Warp's also. I think I machined the inside too much. They had a lot of flex, and were VERY warped when I got them back after the race.
One builder is selling wheels that he advertises at 1.2 grams each! My thinking is that they may be too thin at that point, and may suffer the same fate as mine from last month. The ones I turned down for this month are between 2.0 and 2.2 grams apiece.
Thoughts? Suggestions?

Suggestions? I have tested a lot of wheels out there ... warps wheels are a very good wheel, I have 2 sets. If I did not have my wheels I would be running his... Jewkes wheels are a very good wheel, they are both very precise and have been turned down on cnc machines to get accurate tolances... I have tested 1.45 gram wheels for 22 years for longevity and still have them on 22 year old cars running Strong today... the 1.2 gram wheels are the sister wheels of my 22 year old wheels that have been tested threw time... they have been perfected and are more precise and lightened in the right places to get max speed... if you want to go fast you need to be light... I can tell you this cold fusion is running jewkes wheels 1.1's and they have over 300 plus runs on them and are still running constant 3.00's on my track and have been shipped and have never experienced any warping of the wheel at all period... ;D any more questions fill free to ask I would love to help in any way... Glenn 2fast4u Click on the lower film strip to watch light weight 1.2 gram wheels vs heavy stock wheels and even some rounded edge wheels... This car "Pocket Rocket" is in the video with 1.2 gram wheels [a href=" "][/a] Video Hosting - Upload Video - Video Sharing[/url]

I'm using Warp's wheels...very good product!! Speaking of Warp, has anyone hear from him lately?? I know he has been busy lately. I have emailed him twice without response. Does anyone know if his email address has changed? Usually he is very prompt with correspondence. Ed Half Moon Racing

On my mods, I am running RS, 's and some new home brews that just dropped off the lathe Friday.
On my one and only stock car, I have a set of Warp's ultra lites.

Both Warp's and Jewkes produce great wheels, but I prefer to do my own because of the challenge to make my cars go fast based on my own work. If you don't have a lathe either of the 2 above will get the job done. If you do, it takes alot of work and practice to make a fast wheel, but the rewards are worth it.
For the mods I am using Bill's wheels. I haven't figured out how to make them myself. I do have a set of top secret wheels I am testing, ( need time to test), courtesy of a fellow racer and I am excited about the prospects.

I am running Warps in the stocks. I do have a set of Air City's on the way to try - might see a car this month with them on. I don't have a lathe so I am pretty much reliant on what I can buy.
I have been running Bill's RS wheels on the mods this year.

Anyone care to share who's wheels they are running? WarpSpeeds? Air City? Jewkes? Home Brew? I'VE USED ALL OF THE ABOVE. THEY ARE ALL GOOD OPTIONS - AS STATED EARLIER - IF YOU DON'T HAVE A LATHE - WARP'S AND JEWKES' WHEELS ARE THE BEST. I HAVE ONLY RUN WARP ULTRA-LITE 1.5'S & JEWKES EDGE 1.2'S AT WIRL IN THE STOCK DIVISION. CASINO HAS PRODUCED MY FASTEST TIMES AT WIRL USING EDGE 1.2'S. CASINO HAS BROKEN THE 3.0 BARRIER ON JEWKES' 42 FOOT BEST TRACK WITH EDGE WHEELS.

In Stock I have only ran BSA wheels that I have turned down on my lathe. Thinking of getting a set of Jewkes or Warps just to see how they are so much different then mine. Mine measure near perfect in all dimensions but cars are never fast enough. Litest I have gotten mine too are 2.1 grams and I have broken 1, each of the last two months. In mods I have ran RS's, V 2's, and my own. Always finish middle of pack. Last month Gutter had V 2's and Buckeye Blaster had my wheels that weigh .9 grams a piece.
