Out of the box BSA wheels need obvious cleanup on the contact surfaces. I mounted all 4 wheels on a long shaft and ran them back/forth on 400 grit wetpaper to acquire full contact surfaces.
How can I test the wheels for trueness or balance and even come up with matching front/rear sets?

I suggest going back to "speed tips and tricks" look under "wheels ,axles & alignment" go to "wheel truing" on page 2 and see comments from WARP Speed dated Nov. 2005. Good ref. info
Hope it helps

Thanks. The info is very helpful.
I did find specific DIY on balancing wheels under 'speed, tips & tricks' -> 'wheels, axles and alignment' -> 'mold #'s'
