I'm new to Pinewood racing and to the board. Thanks to all for the great info.
We just finished pack races and got third for the den, but didnt place in the pack, so I need to improve our speed before districts. The car has a slight pull to the left. I checked alignment by laying a ruler on the inside of the hubs and it looks OK. What else should I check for?
Also, one front wheel is wobbly, but it's the highest one and doesnt make much contact so I left it alone. Should I change it? (we are not allowed to alter the axle grooves so I dont know if it will still be elevated if I change it)
Thanks much

Is the wheel that is lifted on the left side? You said it doesn't touch all the time? It shouldn't touch ANY of the time. Everytime the wheel touches it may be pulling your car to the left and it will also slow the car down!! Hope this helps!!

Thanks for the reply. Oddly, the elevated wheel is on the right. Should I bend the axle to raise it more?

You want to bend it up enough so that the wheel doesn't touch at all. Then you just have to adjust the alignment with the other front wheel.
