Greetings from Texas!
Our PWD event is rapidly approaching this year and I think I may have gotten too aggressive on the COG. It's your basic skinny car with tungsten weights in the rear and both sets of wheels located at the very back and very front. The COG seems to be just 1 1/16th (maybe it's just 1") in front of the rear axle. We'll be racing on a 49ft Best Aluminum track. Is this thing even going to stay on the track? Unfortunately I can't pre-test it out on the track...
I guess if I get enough responses indicating it's too agressive then I could take away some weight in the rear and add it to the front section to move the COG forward.
Thanks

bigtex,
With the extended wheel base, 1" COG in front of the rear axle will be just fine.
Good Luck!

Bigtex. have to agree with docb, on that smooth track 1" will be fine. I tried about .65 once and that raced in all three lanes in one heat!

Big Tex:
I agree with docb, Enrico and the guest poster -- 1" is definately NOT too agressive on a Best Track. BTW, I'm in Houston. Where do you race?

Well, I'm all finished putting everything on. Exactly at 5 oz and the COG is 3/4". I Also decided to run with 3 wheeler instead of 4. Am I still good?

3/4" is pretty aggressive. Personally, I would not go less than that. Three wheels is a must if the rules allow it. How is your alignment? If you have that down, you should be good to go.
Good luck at your derby next Saturday. Let us know how you do.
