I read through the rest of the threads and haven't seen one on the topic of creating a grove in the axel to reduce friction with the wheel. What is everyone's thoughts on this?

Ok so if that was true then the thin wheels would not be faster then a set of stock wheels sanded flat and lighted? and the link you have with the pice of wood, that is with out lube I have done test the same way but with graphite in it and the smaller pice is much easer to move. I think it is somthing to do with the graphite is taking up the #. I do not know this for a fact. I my self like to grove the inside of the wheel bore and leave the axle smooth. this works for me.
