Hey guys. I need your opinions. I am preparing some ra wheels for competion. The rules are written that the wheels cannot be coned on the hubs. I was cleaning up the surface on the hub of some ra wheels last night with my pro hub tool and hub shaver and discovered something. The diameter of the hub on a ra wheel is a little larger than a bsa wheel so when you shave the hub with the hub shaver you get a nice raised edge on the hub. I have posted some photos below to show what i discovered and wanted your feedback. Since I can't cone the hubs do you think what I have done will help to reduce the coefficient of friction of the hub rubbing against the body or do you think I should leave the hub surface flat and just polish? this is a raw wheel this a wheel after cutting with hub shaver this a wheel after cutting with pro hub shaver and polished with 1500 grit and then slight coned with concave side of pro hub tool Let me know what you think

Well from what I can tell, you might have added a edge to the hub. But it's hard to tell from the picture. It just appears less rounded to me.
But the overall surface is going to be smoother and more even with using the pro hub tool. I also imagine that the RA wheels did not come into mind when they made the tool.
