I've been building cars for a while now and testing them. I've been using Derby Worx wheels and grooved axles (I have no idea who makes them) and have been having very good success locally. Now I'm trying to build a car to race in the PDDR league so I'm really trying to get my times down. The Derby Worx wheels seem like the way to go. The axles that I have been using have 3 grooves in them. When I get them I always have to straighten them. I also notice that the area between the grooves is not always round and uniform down the axle. Has anyone else noticed these types of things? I would think these types of flaws have to be bad for performance. So my question is, does Derby Worx have axles designed for their BSA wheels (grooved and not grooved)? If they do who sells them? I need a better source for quality axles.

You can check out www.derbydoc.com. Tory has a selection of different BSA axles, including the new DERBYWORX BSA axles. He also has the DERBYWORX Speed axles and (if he has any left) the WARPSPEED grooved BSA axles. Drop him a line, I'm sure he can help you out !! Lucky 13

See Randy Davis at Maximum-velocity.com. Have used his axles with great success. Have to be careful not to polish grooved axles to much(I have made that mistake) because you will make them out of round very quickly. I have gotten a dozen sets of groove and no grooved bsa compliant speed axles from Randy and have only had one or two that need straightning. If you are going to race in the league you might look at the nickel speed axles Randy sells. Alot easier to polish and polish better. You can tell the difference by the blunt end and slight color difference. Good luck. Scott
