Had our second workshop today and I had purchase a dozen extra BSA kits for "just in case" situations.
I poured them all out this morning and separated wheels and axles to bag them and got to looking at mold #s.
I had everything from #3 to #18. I was even able to mold match 4 or 5 sets.
What mold #s seem to be the best?
Just curious.

From the 7 kits that I bought, it looks as if Mold #1 is a new(er) mold. The inside lettering is larger with different spacing, crisper edges, etc.
I'll have to get my ziplock bags out to see which ones we have sets of.

roosclan, I agree. I noticed the same thing with my wheels. Mold #1 is all new and looks great. Larger lettering on the inside of the wheel is the first clue and the wheel looks very clean.
I even have a couple of wheels that don't have mold #'s at all.
I rework my wheels for my car (leader class), but for my son we try to get the best ones we can. I have found that the extra wheel packs are always the oldest wheels and the complete kits have the newer ones.
